I have an Explore Air and love it, but it would be tough for someone who is not at all computer savvy. I don't have any experience with a Silhouette, but I've heard that they have a steep learning curve, too.

I have found that the hardest part of cutting vinyl with my silhouette is loading the vinyl...sometimes have to try it three or four times. Other than that I think it is really easy to use
