Love it, Leslie. Fussy cutting out titles is a great idea. I also love the idea of using washi tape as a "paper strip"

I hope you're ok with non-mixed media techniques! One of my favorite things to do is to fussy cut titles and embellishments out of 4x6 and 3x4 cut apart papers. My title and my "yay" embellishment were fussy cut. Another technique is using washi as borders when I don't have the exact pp I want.

I love camping, my daughter, and my hubby…all three are on my layout =D
My favorite techniques are paint splatters and stenciling.
