Created by Coco Chanel in 1926, the little black dress was translated to ready-to-wear as a staple of late afternoon and cocktail hours; American women at every level of consumption knew the importance of a practical, "well-mannered black." Black had been used for formal and semi-formal occasions in preceding decades.
Even after all these years, the little black dress still manages to be one of the subtlest statement making pieces of all time. It's timeless, elegant, and black will always be black. It's a fashion necessity that can take you around the world.
For today's challenge dress up your pictures with a little black. Mat your pictures with black paper or card stock, or add some black paper, or black embellishments. In addition add a banner or pennant to your page.
