Dec 21 - Miracle on 34th Street

Post by Tracy F »

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' Up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

*Any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

I chose the movie Miracle on 34th Street for my inspiration for this layout. My youngest granddaughter was a bit skeptical about Santa last year just like little Susan from the movie so I thought this photo would be perfect to use for this challenge.
Now it’s your turn to create a layout using one of your favorite Holiday Movies for inspiration or use red and green in your layout.

I was going to use this as a second to the Grinch challenge but as I was working on it all of it was using red and green so I decided to put it here. :D

This girl was a neighbor of ours when our children were growing up. She is a character! She used to work at a gym in their day care. She dressed up all the time and she was good. She later went to work for Netflix and had lots of fun costume parties there. For the last couple of years she has played the grinch with Sant at one of our ski resorts. It was called Breakfast with Santa. I wanted to go so bad this year but it was the same day as our family party. She promises next year we can come see her. Isn't she the cutest!!

My inspiration came from the 1994 Christmas movie Mixed Nuts. Have no idea what the movie is about but the people in the picture definitely equal the title.
