Re: Christmas tree

Usually we put the tree up a few days before Thanksgiving and try to put it and all the holiday decorations away right after New Year's. Our son Jeff, daughter in law Erica and granddaughter Isla are coming from Illinois on thanksgiving, so we'll decorate a little early. Isla is an active toddler, so we need to remember to keep the breakables out of reach. She was just crawling and pulling herself up last year; this year she's walking and very mobile.

After the kitchen was clean we would decorate the tree. As we got older and Kyle moved out, we would set up a small 4 ft. table top tree. Although I didn't have much Christmas spirit last year I was determined to put up a tree. It was my first Christmas without Jack. This year I will probably set up the same small tree but maybe with new decorations this year.
I hope you do - I know it's hard, just want to encourage you....
