As we dive into this homespun meets high-falutin’ theme, it’s time to strike a little “black gold” of your own—creative gold, that is. We’re talkin’ pages that shimmer brighter than Ellie Mae’s smile and layouts that’ll make your creativity bubblin’ up faster than an oil well on a Tuesday.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Elly May is the only daughter of Jed and Rose Ellen Clampett. She is known as “a mountain beauty with the body of a pinup girl and the soul of a tomboy”.

For today’s challenge, use the sketch below and mix masculine papers with girly accents (or vise versa). You could use green checkered paper with pompom fringe and gold accents like I did or maybe floral papers with metal and rope embellishments.
In addition to the masculine/feminine mix and the sketch, please include something brown on your page to represent the brown rope belt that Elly May always wore.
Here is the sketch I found on Pinterest:

And here is my example with green checkered “masculine” paper, Pom-pom fringe, gold accents, and lace washi tape as my “girly” accents, plus brown craft paper.

I can’t wait to see your take on this challenge. Happy scrapping!
