SQOTD 10-14-25

Post by Patti »

It is getting harder and harder to come up with new scrap questions that haven't been asked.
Today's question--If there were no thing as scrapbooking --this includes all papercrafts--" What hobby would you be drawn to?" Second part of the question, " Why did you choose papercrafts over it?"

What craft? HMmmmmmmmmmmmm Probably quilting/sewing. I'm trying to do some quilting, but usually only happens on Tuesday when I go to the Senior Center for the group quilting.

I chose paper crafting because I just loved creating these keepsake books for my kids.........................and who knows if they will want them

I did cross stitching for years. When I went to work for Michaels, I took a card making class and got hooked. From cards it was just natural to move to scrapping.

I already sew as well so maybe I would pick photography. I just loving getting pics of locations I visit. Go for something unusual to. make people think what was I thinking when I took the photo. I picked scrapbooking because I wanted to document my life and I am not good at journaling the story n my pages. The pictures tell it all.

My parents were photographers, and I was always drawn to photography too, but more as a hobby. I’ve always loved taking pictures, so it felt only natural to want to preserve and enjoy them in scrapbooks. I’ve also explored other creative hobbies like painting, embroidery, quilting, sewing, and cake decorating, but I think scrapbooking truly chose me and took over my life

If there were no such thing as scrapbooking or any papercrafts, I’d probably be most drawn to painting, since it’s another way to tell stories through color and emotion. But I chose papercrafts because they allow me to combine so many things I love, photography, design, color, and storytelling, into one creative outlet that feels both personal and meaningful.

I would be doing needle work or making primitive dolls, etc. Used to do these things years ago.

I started scrapbooking when expecting our first grandchild Makaylee. Thought it would be great to preserve memories for her. Now we have 9 grandkids and I'm doing that for each one plus our many travels.

I would probably doing some type of needlework; cross stitch, needlepoint or crewel. My mom ran a small needlework shop when I was in jr. high school.

I chose paper crafts because when I first moved to Texas, a neighbor invited me to a SU party. From there, I transitioned to scrapbooking.
