his month at Cookin’ Up Creations, we’re turning our creative tanks into aquariums of inspiration! Whether your scrappy stash is teeming with color or hiding a few quirky surprises like that one-eyed googly fish, we’re challenging you to open the lid and show us what’s swimming inside.
From bubbly embellishments and underwater hues to layouts that make waves with motion and texture, this month we’ll explore a different part of your crafty ecosystem. Think of it like cleaning out your fish tank—only way more fun and way less smelly.
It’s time to check the filter, stir the waters, and let your creativity flow free. What’s in your tank? Let’s find out—one page at a time.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
Today's challenge is all about the tank!
1. Usually an aquarium large or small is shapely like a rectangle so let's see a couple different sizes of rectangles on your layout.
2. A tank is full of water so add some waves. I used rick rack to give that shape.
3. Coral is adde d to the tank for the fisher=s to swim around letting them know they are in a piece of the ocean. Add the color coral.
4. Often times you will see what looks like glitter on the rocks at the bottom when the sun glares on them they sparkle. Let's see some bling!
Have fun and enjoy creating a Fish tank Masterpiece
