Scrapbooking is all about capturing memories, celebrating the good times, and sharing positivity—just like a warm, fresh donut lifts your spirits. So, let’s channel that donut energy—soft, sweet, and impossible not to love—into every little piece we create. Because in the end, a scrapbook full of happy moments (and maybe a few donut doodles) is one of the best treats of all! Let's make this month one to remember.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
I hope everyone is having a good start to your week! I'm finishing up my month of donut themed projects with this layout featuring my daughter hanging out on a playground when she was tiny. When I saw these pictures of her dangling from the playground equipment, I thought of donuts chilling on a drying rack after being deep fried. And this project was born! My challenge to you is to not only feature this fun sketch designed by Lisa Hidy for Sketch & Scrap's Birthday Bash but also create a project where something or someone is being draped on or over something. Perhaps it's a picture of you or someone you love swinging from a tree branch or swing set like I did? Or maybe you could feature a piece of art hanging on the wall? The possibilities are endless! As an added bonus, add some circles to your project to symbolize an actual donut cooling and preparing to be glazed or iced. I'm excited to see all your "hanging around" projects!
