To kick off this week's Monkees themed challenge, I was inspired by flags. When my daughter and I went to London back in October, I took this photo of her with England's flag soaring behind her. With the Monkees being a British band, I thought an English flag themed project would be a perfect way to highlight this month's challenge. With today being Sketch Monday, not only do I challenge you to use this fun sketch created by Lisa Hidy for Sketch N Scrap back in April 2025, but also to use a flag in some way on your project. Perhaps you have a picture of "Old Glory" soaring over your house that would be perfect for a project? Or maybe you could focus on a flag being flown by your favorite sports team? The possibilities are endless. As a bonus task, pull a color from the flag that you are highlighting as an accent color for your project. I chose to pull out the red from the Union Jack to add dimension to my project. I can't wait to see how you all translate my English flag/Sketch challenge today!
