Yes, but depending on the surgery recovery time could be different. My daughter could barely talk for a few weeks, but then she was fine. She does have some trouble regulating her meds. She couldn't do the generic. Was on the name brand and they quit making it or she couldn't get it. My daughter-in-law did fine on the generic, but they did have to switch off now and then.
