Cookin' up Creations is happy to announce the November Chef of the Month - Karen / Greatgramof5!!
Karen is an Outstanding Member here at Cookin' up Creations, and is always "Johnny on the Spot" for checking in on the newly posted challenges and getting them done!! She's always willing to help whenever I ask, and just this past month has posted numerous "make you think" Scrapbook Questions of the Day! She's truly motivational!! .....so please help me Congratulate Karen as our Chef of the Month for November 2019!

Bio
I've been scrapping about 15 years. I scrapped on in off at first going months without scrapping anything. Then I joined an online group and after decoding the language, I started to get into scrapping. I learned from other members. Now I love being involved in the group and have even taught a class or two.
What do I enjoy most about Scrapbooking?
I love that it is a stress-reducer and relaxer. Most of all I enjoy documenting my friends, family and myself to pass on to others someday.
Describe my Style
My style is extreme. I do pages that are clean and orderly but I also do pages with layering and lots of color and elements. I like using black and white photos because of the wonderful way that color enhances the photos.
My Current favorite Products
I don't have fav manufacturers but I have favorite collections. I must admit that I like a lot of DCWV collections but I choose collections based on color combos and theme.
What Inspires Me?
I'm inspired by challenges that make me think, by color combos, by sketches and by the colors and shapes of signs and different products.
Describe your Scrapbooking Space
Right now my scrapbook space has spread into three rooms. We are in the middle of doing some electrical revamping.
What do you do for a living?
I'm retired but I think I put in more hours of work than ever.
Describe My perfect day.
Not having to cook and going to Hobby Lobby with lots of cash. For dessert stopping at all the yard sales on the way home.
My Favorite Indulgence.
Cherry or Vanilla Coke and something sweet
What would you like to learn that's not Scrapbooking related
I'd love to learn to speak Mandarin.
Favorite song, Movie, Ringtone?
Fav song depends on my mood. I like older hard rock.
Fav movie any thriller.
Fav ringtone. I'm a ring tone person. I get sick of hearing one and just pick another EXCEPT for Christmas when I use a ringtone of dogs singing 'We wish you a merry Christmas'.
Favorite Layout & Why
I love this one of China because my father was in the Army and stationed in China in the 20s and took many photos of the wall, the Forbidden City and other things. He learned to speak Mandarin as well. I love the soft colours and the coin.
