Join us all month long as we pay homage to all things associated with the culture and history of America . . . whether it be apple pie, hot dogs, or baseball . . .we each have something that makes us feel nostalgic and proud of our great USA!
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
For Saturday’s challenge you will use a white background and form an Americana wreath. It does not have to be red white and blue, but I would like to see Americana type symbols such as stars, stripes flowers, circles. You could also use a pick up truck with different items on the back to match your theme and photos. Also, add a few wood or cork elements.
For my layout I used a Parklane Patriotic pad and used leftover diecuts I had and I also cut out some stars from the paper pad to create the wreath. The base paper is white but it has white shiny stars printed. I added the sparkly stars and the cork hearts. The picture is of my beautiful grandniece playing with her cousins on the 4th of July.
