Welcome to a new month of challenges here at Cookin Up Creations! I'm leading off the month with this Americana sketch/layout featuring pics of my daughters when they were tiny girls dressed up on the Fourth of July. My oldest daughter has loved all things USA since she was born. (Probably because I was an American History teacher for 24 years, and she listened absorbed everything I taught about the Revolutionary War & American Government in utero!) I decided these pics of them posing next to the flags in our front yard would be a great way to start out the month. For today's challenge, I not only challenge you to use the sketch below by the talented Kim Keane (since it is Monday Sketch Day), but also incorporate flags in some way on your project. I decided to use a variety of stars and stripes paper to simulate a flag. As an added challenge, add some star embellishments somewhere on your design. I'm excited to see how you all interpret the challenge!
