Challenges will be based on the "Birthday Theme"....but not necessarily about birthdays!!
Don't worry if you don't have any birthday pictures as the possibilities are limitless! Trust me, there'll be enough different challenges for everyone. There's also going to be a few games and random prizes thrown in (see forum here).

New Blue Plate Special challenges are posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
The prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing) .....
For my challenge today, I was inspired by birthday cake, especially cakes with lots of layers! Featured in this project are two of my favorite pictures of my oldest daughter on her fifth birthday. She was very specific about the cake she wanted & was happy to pose by it. I loved all the colors and layers the cake decorator did with the icing, so I decided a birthday cake themed project using several layers would be my final project for the March birthday celebration. My challenge to you for today is to create a project where you layer a few pieces of patterned papers on your project. As an added bonus, since banners are often part of birthday party decorations, add a banner somewhere on your project as well using those leftover scrap paper layers. I can't wait to see your projects!
