A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

When I saw that "Ring Around the Rosie" was the February challenge, the tune went on replay in my head. I considered doing a project on flowers, but I kept going back to the song. With the Super Bowl happening this past month, and all the media attention that was given to Taylor Swift during the game, many of her songs have been streaming through my brain. Then the lightbulb went off...records & CDs are circles like a "Ring around the Rosie." So, I dipped into my picture archives and found these two photos taken of my daughter and one of her BFF's when they attended Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour Concert in 2018 & decided to create a music themed project. My challenge to you is to not only use the sketch below from the book "525 New and Aspiring Scrapbook Sketches Volume 1," but also to create a layout with a musical theme. Perhaps you could feature a picture of a loved one at a band/choir concert? Or maybe you could create a layout featuring your favorite musical artist? As an added bonus, add a large circle on your project to commemorate relics of music's past, records and CD's. I'm excited to see your music themed projects!
