A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Today’s challenge is about animal prints.
In the 1930's designers and manufacturers were inspired by the movie, Tarzan the Apeman. The main characters wore animal print clothing and it was seen as adventurous, exciting, and attractive. Designers began creating animal print blouses, scarves, and coats.
At some point in the 80s, animal print became a go-to luxury look. Whether it was actual fur or faux fur print, men and women were sporting their best animal Safari impersonations with the likes of cheetah, tiger, zebra, leopard and giraffe print … on everything.
For our challenge use animal print paper, animals with fur, a picture of someone wearing animal print clothing, or paper that represents some type of animal print. In addition double mat your picture.
For my example I used the picture of my lovely grand niece on her first time riding in a shopping cart. Her expression says it all! She is wearing animal print. I used baby animal cut outs and one of the papers resembles zebra print because it’s black and white lined paper. Of course the picture is double matted.
I also have a flip flap that will be going on top of the picture once the layout is in the album.
