Join us all month long as we play our version of the Emmy Award-winning series show Survivor! The ultimate goal is the same - to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast . . and ultimately be crowned Sole Survivor..

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

In Season 21 of Survivor, the first 4 episodes the team was divided in two groups, old and young. So, for this challenge, I want you to draw inspiration from the sketch below I found on the Sketch~N~Scrap blog. You must also dig deep in your stash for old products (10 years or older) to use with new products or a new technique. For an extra challenge, I would like for you to use wood on your layout.

And here is my layout. My old products are Basic Grey papers from the Vagabond collection in 2005 and the title letters are also 2005. I paired them with new stamps, stencil and ink that I purchased this year.

Here's mine! My papers are old, but don't know how old. Pulled them from my Fall scrap folder. My New is the Simple Stories Foam Elements, Wooden Leaves. :)

Photo of Fall color near us, October 2022. :)
