One of the best parts of the holidays is curling up on the couch with some hot cocoa and settling in for a true Christmas movie marathon. But, alas, the season is fleeting, so don't waste your precious festive time channel surfing or digging through streaming sites—just join us here at Cookin' Up Creations where we will be posting challenges all month long based on the heartwarming classics like It's a Wonderful Life to Christmas-movie-legend Home Alone. It's a month guaranteed to bring back movie memories and put you in the holiday spirit.

Remember - A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

*Winner will be chosen via Random.Org.

For this challenge I chose the movie, the 2018 Dr. Seuss The Grinch.

The Grinch is a grouchy, solitary creature with a heart "two sizes too small." He resides in a cave on a mountain north of Whoville, home of the cheerful and warmhearted Whos. Having been annoyed by Whoville's noisy Christmas festivities for fifty-three years, the Grinch resolves to stop Christmas from coming. He disguises himself as Santa Claus and travels to Whoville on a sleigh pulled by his dog, Max. The Grinch slides down the chimney of the first house on the square and steals all the presents, the food for the feast, and the Christmas tree. He is briefly interrupted by Cindy Lou Who, a young Who girl, but concocts a crafty lie to convince her to go back to bed so that he can escape.

After doing the same to the other Who houses, the Grinch takes his sleigh to the top of Mount Crumpet and prepares to dump all of the stolen belongings into the abyss. As dawn breaks, he expects to hear the Whos crying, but is shocked to hear them singing a joyous Christmas song instead. After much thought, the Grinch comes to realize that Christmas "means a little bit more" than just presents and feasting, causing his shrunken heart to grow three sizes larger. The reformed Grinch returns the Whos' presents and food and is asked to take part in their Christmas feast.

Your challenge if you choose to accept it is, use the cover of the movie as inspiration and include 3 hearts on your layout.

Here's my layout.

This page should have been done before the baby was born, but I lost the post. Also the edges of the post are red not the color they scanned.
