Join us all month long in March as we celebrate
the 5th Anniversary of Cookin' up Creations (once again)!!
Challenges will be based on the "Birthday Theme"....but not necessarily about birthdays - so, don't worry if you don't have any birthday pictures as the possibilities are limitless...as there'll be challenges for everyone.
A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing) .....
Today marks our last Monday sketch featuring a birthday theme. For my project, I used a beautiful sketch created by Rochelle Spears for Sketches in Thyme to highlight a picture of a meaningful gift my daughter got for her birthday. My daughter is extremely proud of the titanium rod she had implanted into her leg after a soccer injury. For her birthday, her Grandpa made her a vanity plate for her car featuring her new soccer "nickname." She thought it was hilarious that her Grandpa made her this gift, and has it proudly displayed on her trophy shelf in her room. (She's a little shy about having it on her car). My challenge to you is to create a project that not only uses this fun sketch, but also features a special gift. Perhaps you or someone you loved received a memorable birthday or Christmas gift. Or maybe you received the gift of time? Or maybe someone in your life is a special gift to you? Gifts can come in so many forms! I can't wait to see how you all interpret this challenge!
