SQOTD 4/29

Post by Krystle »

Do you ever feel pressure to make the perfect page when you are documenting a special occasion? I do sometimes, but not often.

not pressure per say, but pressure on myself in general. I'm always second guessing my choices, and numerous times the words "I think I've forgotten how to do this" have come out of my mouth . . . seriously ask Jan!

Pressure, no not really, but I will let a layout sit for a while and tinker with it until I feel it is complete or at least meets my satisfaction. I'm not a fast scrapper, I scrap because I like the creative process of it and it has become an outlet for me.

I do. I want the page to convey the emotion as well as the pictures that event held. Everything on the page has to make sense to me and each element has to relate to the pictures. I don't do random very well and I'm trying to force myself to work outside my comfort zone. Some LOs take me all day and then there will be one that is so clear in my mind that it comes together in an hour. I love those.

I think everyone puts pressure on themselves but I don't let it take over and control me. I will do the page and then double take a look and add any extra last minute embellishments.

I'm a slow scrapper usually so if I'm having a hard time getting it to come together, I just walk away from it and come back to it later. I enjoy the process of creating so I don't want to put pressure on myself. That's probably why I like to work way in advance of when projects are due.
