Do you mat your photos?

I have not always matted them but recently I started to and I will try to always mat them now.

I read an article on paper wishes about matting. Here is part of it.
You can just stick your photos to the background paper, but matting gives your photos a frame—and that frame makes them stand out from the page and makes them look a little more finished. It’s especially important if your background paper is patterned; if you don’t mat your photo, it can get lost in the pattern of the paper.

I most always add a thin mat to my photos. Quite often I double mat them with a small white border and vellum.

I almost alwaus mat mine with at least a thin border of white or black; and like Jan, I often double mat. It gives the photos a lot more oomph to have that frame.

I go in spells. For a while I will not mat, then I will always mat, then back to never matting. Right nowI am matting!

It depends on the LO and my mood, but most of the time I put a thin one or I may ink the edges of the photos to help pop them...sometimes I do both...sometimes I do nothing.

I actually do both. It depends on the layout. Sometimes, I wish that I had...
