Do you ever sketch a rough draft of what layout you are working on?

I never do I just jump in and start putting things down.

I nearly always start with a sketch, but if not, then I draw a rough outline of what I want to do before I start cutting paper etc

very rarely, but I have done so in the past. Especially if I find a layout that I'd like to lift.
