Do you ever find it tough when you are doing a challenge to add a required item to a layout, especially one you really didn't like how it is turning out?

Yes! Yes, I do, especially when it takes away from the layout or if it's a specific product like glitter...I don't do glitter!

Ultimately, I have to be happy with the end result.

Sometimes. I just make it work. I’m not usually a fussy scrapper and attach everything before I have my whole idea. So that often makes for problems. I just make it work

I used to try to force things to fit a challenge. But, I’m trying to let go of the “need” to have the layout fit the challenge if it’s just not working. I do like that sometimes the challenge requirements have me go outside my comfort zone and try something new! Or use a product in a new way.

I agree on glitter… it has to be minimal. Glitter washi or glitter paper for alphas is my usual go to there.

When I run into that I start with the item and build my page around it.

That’s how I feel too! As for glitter, the more the better!

I think it’s because I have 2 boys / I’m really getting into the distressed/messy look, but with pretty colors! Haha

I'm pretty much like Phillis, I just make it work. Sometimes it adds so much more to it than I realized. One more reason to ENJOY being here. So many challenges make my pages fun.

I do not like to add things that I don't care for just to make it work but I do and usually try to hide it. We all have such different tastes in our scrapping style and the things we like but we need to remember that not everyone likes what we do...so please no glitter!
