Do you find yourself doing the same techniques over and over again? And if so, what is that technique? Is it something you just discovered? Or something you've been doing for a while now?
I don't think there are any "new" techniques just ones that come back around. I guess layering would be one I do but rubons are ones that have come back around that I have been doing.
I seem to be doing the same mixed media background techniques. Stenciling, stamping, splatters and inking. I've been doing the ink splatters for a few years now. In the last couple of years or so I discovered the packaging/kissing technique and stenciling.
I still use the triangle in threes method. embellishments, buttons, brads, chipboard. It catches the eye and settles the look. I have used more brads again lately. Since the new thing is enamel dots and I still have umpteen brads it is good to grab them now and again.
