Join us all month long in January as we post challenges with the focus of scrapping with our unused stash! Let's face it, we all have a scrappy stash …. things that we are hoarding, forgot we had, never got around to using … yeah, you know you have it, too!

So join us as we say “OUT WITH THE OLD . . . IN WITH THE NEW!”

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....



Todays challenge is to use Vellum anywhere on your layout. If that's not possible than use a pattern paper for your background. I had this 12x12 piece of vellum just waiting 20 years to be used

It's a wonderful example and great challenge! I have a bunch of vellum from many years ago.

It's a dandelion! they are weeds. All of that blossom blows in the wind and plants them everywhere. They are a little yellow flower before they turn into this. We hate them in our grass but kids love to pick them and then blow and watch them go everywhere. Luckily these were in the mountains where weeds are nature.

I know they're weeds but they are so pretty!

This is my grandmother. She collected buttons. I made the flowers from velum.
