January 16th - Stash challenge

Post by Wendy »

Join us all month long in January as we post challenges with the focus of scrapping with our unused stash! Let's face it, we all have a scrappy stash …. things that we are hoarding, forgot we had, never got around to using … yeah, you know you have it, too!

So join us as we say “OUT WITH THE OLD . . . IN WITH THE NEW!”

Today I challenge you to use up some of those old embellishments that became trendy for a while:

Image

On this page I used some metal rimmed tags.

And on my second page, I used some plastic slide mounts.

Some other ideas are book plates, metal frames and charms.
Just the odd things I'm sure you have around. If not, use up some brads or eyelets. Just have fun using up old embellishments.

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Monday (sketch), Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations in the Cookin' up Creations Gallery.

Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....

I remember those metal rimmed tags and the plastic slide mounts. Don't think I have either, but I have plenty of older things I could use.

Great pages Wendy!
I've never seen those plastic slide mounts before! I have some real cardboard ones.

Each year Kayla picks her top nine favorite occasions for the year. I used lots of metal rimmed tags, charms, a small clipboard and a metal frame--all I have had for years.
