Do you go to any farms to pic fruits or veggies?

I picked strawberries two weeks ago and again today. Looks like the red raspberries will be ready to pick next week! Gonna get working on some more strawberry jam a lil later,

We used to go to a local Pick your Own farm near us. But they started charging an "entrance fee" to access the fields and then charged crazy prices for the fruits. I dont mind paying for the fruit but the entrance fees ended that. It would cost us $30 as a family just to walk out in the field. And then the cost of the fruits..ugh.

Wow..that is ridiculous! The strawberries here where I picked are $1.35 a pound. I got 20 quarts for 27.00.

I've picked blackberries and blueberries before - hadn't thought about that this summer!

In Illinois, there was an apple orchard about 40 minutes from us. I used to take the kids for the petting zoo, kids' activities and apple picking, we picked blueberries a coupleof times during vacations to southwestern Michigan.
