I tried to be diligent and plan meals to save on my grocery bill, but things happen and it never worked.
Things came up with the kids, or I just got lazy...lol.
When I started it out, it was awesome! 1 week at time, shop for JUST those items and Sunday evening (while I watched reality tv shows) was my prep night. I would prep what I could and get it to the point where it just needed to put in the oven. It took a lot of work, but I loved it.
Now I plan 3 days in advance and it seems to to work better.
It seems that when we plan our meals we end up spending more on groceries. We have a general list of items we want, try to buy sale items and I just make, I make the meals with what we have. My husband has a rotation for breakfast.
Yes and no! I plan the meat for the week but then decide that day what I make. I always have lots of veggies to work with so it's not too hard. And since there is only two of us it is easier.
