Do you like the Wizard of Oz?

My first venture out in six days, this afternoon I am going to see Wizard of Oz at the Hale Theatre. We grew up watching this film every year on TV at Christmas time. We loved it growing up. My kids not so much. They hated it. In our day it was a great classic. So when I told DH I wanted to go he bowed out too. A few of us girls are going. Hoping I can juggle the tube in my back and a bag on my front underneath a skirt. We shall see.

Love the Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins.

It used to air on a Sunday evening between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There was a good "sledding hill" in my little hometown of 400 or so people. All of us kids would run home the Sunday it aired for an early dinner so we could watch the movie. I liked the movie -- except for those flying monkeys. I hid behind a chair when they were on. They were SCARY!!!!!

Love the Wicked play, but I have never watched The Wizard of the Oz all the way through
