Have you had a DNA test?
I did it last year when I was able to get one for $49 instead of the $100 going rate. I was just thinking of it since it is St. Patricks day tomorrow and I have been told my whole life that I was Irish. My maiden name is Carroll. Four generations ago Charles Negas Carroll dropped the O from O'Carroll because he got tired of writing it so the story goes.
Turns out my Dad is only 15% Irish. My oldest sister is 18% and I am a whopping 26% How does that happen that I am more Irish than my Dad who was closer to that generation?
