When at a function with people who you don't know, are you comfortable and start chatting or do you stay quiet and off to the side.


I tend to stay off to the the side by myself

I look for someone I know and talk to hm/her first, hoping that others will join in or I'll see someone else I know.

I don't normally attend a function of any kind unless I know someone. If on the rare occasion that I do, I'm comfortable enough to start a chat. I strike up a chat with random people all the time at Walmart and the farmers market.
