Woodstock is not a great flyer. In fact, he doesn’t even know what type of bird he is. The only thing he knows for sure is that he and Snoopy were destined to be great pals. He refers to Snoopy as his friend of friends, the only one in the neighborhood who understands his chirps. Woodstock is always up for an adventure, but is just as happy relaxing at home.
Woodstock was first seen in the strip in 1967 but was named in 1970 after the Woodstock summer music festival.
For today's challenge we are going to fly for Woodstock. That's right, your challenge is to create a layout with the color yellow and something that flies; i.e. (plane, bird, wings, feathers, balloons, kites). It can be a photo of something that flies or it can be an embellishment.
Here is the sketch I chose.
And here is my take on it.
As always, a new Blue Plate Special challenge will be posted every Monday (sketch), Wednesday, and Friday. All participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.
Prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate to their favorite online store (random drawing).....
