Out of all the dogs I have fostered and owned over the years, the Cocker Spaniel is still my favorite breed. Do you have a favorite breed?

I grew up with a cocker and then my kids had one. Love them and the picture of this one is so cute!

We have owned several dogs of varying breeds over the years. Now we have Mickey, a 3-year-old Jack Russell--mystery mutt mix. We adopted him on Valentine's Day 2018, when he was about 9 months old. He's a cheerful little guy and a great walking companion. He also likes playing ball; and at night he sits next to my mom's wheelchair like a guard. He's only about three years old, so we're looking forward to more years of fun with him.

I've always liked Cocker Spaniels but my favorite is the long haired dachshund. I had a short haired one as a child and then a long haired one when I was older. I would love to have another but dh is allergic. My brother has a miniature short haired one and is getting a miniature long haired blonde one in a couple of months. I can't wait to see her.

Obviously I love all dogs

But we've had a mini schnauzer, smooth coat fox terrier, labs, and mixed dogs. Right now I have a short hair tweenie dachshund and a beagle/doxie mix.

My best dog was a Whippet mix - the smartest, loved every one, happy all the time dog
