Family Reunions

Post by Tamara »

Have any of you ever been in charge of a Family Reunion?
What are some great activities to do?
We won't need nametags since it is just my siblings and kids but still at least 65 people.
I am trying to get a park and will probably go with sloppy Joes or something

I haven't been to one in years. The last one was at a park but I can't remember what they served.
If you get a park with a covered shelter and grill you could always do burgers and hot dogs. Or you could do pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and potato salad.

We have one every year over Labor Day weekend. It used to be at my cousin's house on a lake but she sold and moved so now we either rent a campground or hotel conference room. Started doing the hotel because the weather can be cold and for older family members it was hard on them for 3 days. We would sign up as families for a meal but Sat. pm was always a fish boil. Now we have burgers and brats.

No, and that’s a lot of people! A park sounds like a good idea

I haven't been to one in years. The last one was much smaller than yours and was at someones house. Everyone brought old photo albums and we sat around reminiscing. The kids weren't interested in the photos so they set up corn hole games and we grilled burgers and hot dogs.

I haven't been to one in a long time either, too long actually. So long that I'm not really sure of a lot of the details.
