Happy Fri-yay!

Post by Jan Mosier »

Good afternoon ladies! Hope you all are enjoying your Friday!

It's been a non productive morning/week. I've been playing phone tag with the nurses all week. No one seems to answer the freaking phone anymore nor return a message. I was referred to a specialist but missed the call when they called to schedule an appt. I've called back several times and either get no answer or no one is in the office. I'm beyond frustrated at this point so I will prepare for tomorrows market and try again next week.

Jan that can be so frustrating! Good luck at the market
I've already put up some Valentine decorations, done a little ironing while I had some oven dish towel tops to iron so I can sew them on this afternoon. I just made some banana coconut muffins that was a recipe I got out of the diabetic magazine this month so they are healthy. I hope I get some scrapping done. DH ordered me some more adhesive last night and also some photo paper for my mini printer. Pretty happy about that.
When he got home from work last night he handed me an envelope that his boss gave him. I opened it and $1000 csh fell out. It was a thankyou card telling him what a great job he did last week at the sales meeting. He was impressed with all his hard work. That means so much to us! He has had such crappy bosses for the last ten years. IT is so nice to get credit where credit is due. In his previous job , he did all the work and his boss would take the credit so he never felt appreciated. DH is excited to use the money for our Grand Canyon trip next month. So it is all covered. :D :D :D
Happy Friday!!

This has been kind of a long, frustrating week and I'm glad to see the end of it. One of our granddaughters was hospitalized yesterday for emotional problems and fears that she would hurt herself. She will be there a week to 10 days. My mom continues to feel a bit under the weather, which also increases her forgetfulness. My visit to the rheumatologist was supposed to be today, but the office lady called at 4:45 yesterday and said the dr. would be out of the office, so I'm scheduled now for Monday. Hoping for a calm, quiet weekend!

Jan & Barb, keeping hanging in there. I really dislike phone calls and appointments. I once was on hold for 3 hours trying to make an appointment and when it was my turn they accidentally hung up on me. I.m usually not that patient but I wanted to see how long it would be because the voice message said they would be right with me.
Tamara, what a nice surprise!
I went to Winston-Salem today in search of a bench for our bedroom...no luck. I think I will take my chances that I will get a match and order it online.
Happy Friday!

Been there Barb! It's soooo emotionally draining and you can't do anything for them!
Garrett seems to be doing really well now that he's home!! He took his final exams today, and I do believe that he was able to pull himself out of the never ending hole of "make up" work and actually pass the semester by the skin of his teeth. I'll take those low 70s any day as long as I still have my son!!

Surprisingly, he been home from the Meadows 3 weeks this past Wednesday, and Wednesday night and last night he received calls from the kids that are still there just wanting to say hi, and basically catch up. Makes me wonder what is wrong with the kids for them to still be there. . . some of them were really sad cases.

That happens more than you know! I work in a family practice office and we schedule the referrals to the specialty offices, and if we can't get them on the phone right then and schedule the appointment, it's a nightmare trying to get them to call us back to do it. So I feel ya!

I need to order new bar stools, and I think I've finally come to the same conclusion. Just need Shawn to measure again to make sure I get the right height!
