... and I've been soooooo ready to explode! Finally I can tell our wonderful news....
Our newest grandchild, Isla Elizabeth, arrived at 3:05 am Sunday, Feb. 18, weighing 4 lbs. 15 oz. She was four weeks early; my daughter in law developed severe and sudden pre-enclampsia, necessitating a Caesarian section. Isla (pronounced EYE-la) had to spend about 12 days in the hospital NICU, but she's doing well. Jeff and Erica were able to take her home today, much to their delight.
They asked us and other family members not to post until she was home. I'm looking forward to a trip back to the Midwest in a few weeks to meet her; meanwhile, I'm counting on her parents and other grandma to take and share photos.
Creating memories, one page at a time.
