October 7th Gallery Lift Wednesday/Soup of the Day

Post by Deanna13 »

During the month of October - Cookin' Up Creations is going to be doing a bit of 'PAPER PAD BASHING". So grab your favorite 6x6, 6x8, 8x8 or 12x12 paper pad and join us in a month of Pad Bashing.

This month we'll be using sketches, and lifting several different layouts, with the goal to put a dent in that Paper Pad that we know you've been hoarding. We may not get through the whole pad, but we'll have fun trying. *be sure to post a picture of your Paper Pad prior to starting!

Today we are lifting this terrific layout by Jan Mosier! I just love all the layering and I'm sure it will work with most any size paper pad you are working with.

Don't forget to leave her some love here...

You must use at least 3 different patterned papers from your chosen paper pad and 1 pattern must be floral! :)

*BONUS entry points if you also make two (2) cards with your scraps & use bakers twine and/or ribbon on your cards.

Here's my lift using my Bella Blvd 'Make Your Mark' 6x8 Paper Pad.

Deanna, I am truly honored and humbled that you chose to lift this layout. I questioned my choices as I was putting it together. I used all scraps by several different manufactures and didn't have a single embellishment to match any of the papers I had chosen. Thank you again, and I love how your take on it.

My pad does not have any floral pattern. The closest would be balloon animals. Is there another option for me?

I would think the balloon animals print would be fine, Tamara! :)

My chosen pad does NOT have a page with flowers at all, so I used three sheets from it and a floral strip from a different pad. I f it doesn't count--so be it.
Below are my scrap cards. I did use twine o one of them.
