Saturday Challenge 4.11.20 REUSE

Join us all month long in April as we celebrate Mother Earth herself . . .by Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. . . Reducing is cutting back on the amount of trash we make, reusing is finding a new way to use trash so that we don't have to throw it out, and recycling is using trash to remake new goods that can be sold again.

Saturday Challenge 4.11.20 REUSE

Post by Tamara »

So sorry peeps. Beth had to give me a nudge! I didn't realize I had todays challenge

Join us all month long as we celebrate Mother Earth. Challenges will be based on reusing, reducing and recycling - whether it be in your personal life or with your scrapbooking supplies, focusing on finding new ways to use and repurpose items in our stash.......the possibilities are limitless…

So I have had this layout of the kids with Santa that I did years ago. It makes me dizzy every time I look at it and don't know what I was thinking!?!? It has been set aside for a redo for long enough. I took everything off the page and reused it to make a fresh page.

Todays challenge is to reuse something that you have used before. maybe you have a card that someone sent you and you cut off the words and reused the front of it, etc..

See what I mean??????   I reused the title chipboard letters and the white brads and the journaling strips

I redid my April 8, 2020 page because I did not like it. Much better now.

I know how I feel about a LO that never quite looked the way I thought it would. Sometimes it's just that a page could have looked better if I just had something added or just moved around differently.

Great job with the remakes so far. What a big difference with just small changes redone.

I really wanted to use the alphas that came with this paper pack but they kind of disappeared with the business of the paper. I decided to try coloring them with an ink pad but still didn't pop. I realized that nothing was going to pop on the busy paper so I cut another piece of the blue and seamed it in, covered the seam with the border from before and then added my new title with different alphas. Finally, I stuck the fox back on. I had carefully pulled off all the previous stickers so I could reuse them on another project so look for them to show up in the future.
