4/8 Bonus COTM Challenge posted by Sherri Priest

Join us all month long in April as we celebrate Mother Earth herself . . .by Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling. . . Reducing is cutting back on the amount of trash we make, reusing is finding a new way to use trash so that we don't have to throw it out, and recycling is using trash to remake new goods that can be sold again.

4/8 Bonus COTM Challenge posted by Sherri Priest

Hi Ya'll, Thanks for having me as your guest this month. I love it here. The challenges are always so inspirational!

Join us all month long as we celebrate Mother Earth. Challenges will be based on reusing, reducing and recycling - whether it be in your personal life or with your scrapbooking supplies, focusing on finding new ways to use and repurpose items in our stash.......the possibilities are limitless…

My challenge for you is to use those strips of pp or cardstock you cut off the bottom of your patterned paper. Sometimes there is cuteness there that can be used rather than thrown out! I cut the red off the bottom of this pp and I used the word "photo" from the name off the bottom. For the card, I cut off the extra that you get when you have a cardstock stack. Just keep the part at the perforation that you have to take off to make the size 12x12. I hope this makes sense!

A new Blue Plate Special challenge is posted each Wednesday and Saturday, and participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations.

Prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate to their online store of choice.

*any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

That is definitely a challenge! That's usually the first thing I cut off and throw away.   I have used it in the past so I will be thinking twice before discarding them.
Great job on yours!!

Tamara, that is so cute. Just the perfect amount of pp to add to the page.

Great challenge, Sherri! I've been saving these strips and using them for some time. I LOVE your colorful example.
I use a empty Pringles container for all my cut-off strips if you are searching for a good way to keep your strips handy. You can easily see what you have and the strips don't become bent. The solid colored cardstock strips from perforated edges are helpful for making colorful grids and weaved photo mats.
