Cookin' Up Creations

Join us all month long in March as we celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Cookin' up Creations once again!! For this challenge, think COLOR and POP! Turn the photos into a colorful display. Add some unexpected icons and elements. Mix up the color profile! Have some fun creating a cute, artsy photo layout -- just for fun!

Our 12-year-old granddaughter Anna has become really enthusiastic about anime' and cosplay arts. She enjoys using filters to create new images on her cell phone. Then she sends the new photos to her friends and her grandma. So far it's been a good outlet for her creativity and a way to entertain herself during the social isolation in place. Here's her latest creation:



Each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, the CUC Creative Team posts a new Blue Plate Special challenge. Participants have until the 3rd of the following month to complete and post their creations. A winner is chosen by random drawing. The prize is a $10 Gift Certificate to the winner's online store of choice.

*In any month that we have more than 50 completed layouts/creations, the prize will be a $20 Gift Certificate instead of $10.

These are photos taken of my mom and dad on Christmas. I love how the blue in her blouse pops with color. I still wanted a Christmas theme so this is where I went with it!

Beth I ended up using her sample in the gallery and took it as the sketch!

This sketch has been giving me fits. I've copied it and tried to load it several times, and nothing has worked. The only thing I can think of is that it's got a proprietary address so that it can't be posted elsewhere (kind of like PageMaps) However, my sample layout follows the sketch very closely; so if you use that as a guide, you will be fine.
