Re: Tuesday January 9, 2018

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, Jan. FINALLY gettingback into the scrapbooking groove. Yesterday I made a couple of cards and a layout; another page is about half done. For the first week after I got home, all I did was move things around and stare at the paper/kits, with no inspiration or am...

Re: SQOTD January 9, 2018

Not a huge fan of the pre-made journaling cards. If they have sentiments printed on them, they tend not to be the sentiments I want to express. I prefer to make my own journaling cards.

Re: QOTD January 9, 2018

Almost never. Now that we're retired, Mike and I live a very casual lifestyle. Even when we "go out", we dress more casually. That's a big change, especially for me. For many years, I held jobs that required dressing up. Dress or nice separates, heels, makeup, hair, jewelry, and for a few years, acry...

1. Shamrock Brewing Company -- locally owned microbrewery and restaurant with an Irish flair; my favorite place in Pueblo to take visitors 2. Four & Twenty Cafe -- owned by two of my former classmates back in Illinois; great place for breakfast and lunch 3. Texas Roadhouse -- It's LOUD, and even wit...

Probably more small prints, although sometimes I love the WOW factor of a big, bold design

Re: Happy New Year!!!

That's the bad part about moving to Colorado -- kids and grandkids are all 1100 miles away  Recovery is continuing here. I'm pretty stiff and a bit sore, but that's from working joints and muscles that haven't been very active for quite a while. I have exercises to do each day, and I walk outsi...

Re: SQOTD January 4, 2018

Actually, I like writing titles! When I worked for the local newspaper back in Illinois, I found out I was fairly good at coming up with headlines and I've brought that into my scrapbooking. I often look for some play on words that I can use to make the title interesting.

Re: Good Morning Ladies - 1/4/18

Sooooo glad to be in southern Colorado right now instead of Illinois! We're enjoying 40 to 50-degree days and sunshine, while Chicago is headed for record-breaking low temperatures, snow and ice. We found out that son Jeff and his wife, Erica are expecting a girl in mid-March, while daughter Kristen...

I'm home and doing great!

Well that was not what I had planned .... my three days in the hospital turned into two weeks in skilled care .... but I'm home now and working hard to get back to normal life. I was supposed to be in the hospital for two nights for a left hip replacement. However .... The surgeon found that my left...
